Resize/custom home-page tiles

I think main homepages for sites would benefit from broader options for icons. At present there is the list and tile option, while the tile option is (imo) probably the better aesthetically, I think it would benefit users by being able to scale the tiles to a smaller size, or specifying your own icon as the tile itself.
