I have been using Screensteps for only a small time (roughly 3 months), However, I have noticed a seemingly massive issue in how the spellcheck works on the site.
Normally, this would not be an issue as I regularly employ the use of Grammarly to spellcheck my written works. Unfortunately, due to work restrictions on external software installed on workstations I am forced to use the built in spellcheck functions of Screensteps, which I must say work well (for the most part)
As far as spellcheck software goes, Screensteps does a decent job at making things user friendly and easy to use, My only concern is the lack of support for hyphenated words. The system detects these words regularly, but when you select the word from the list with the hyphen inserted of replacing the word, it simply does nothing??
Potentially, this is more of a bug? not really sure whats going on, but it makes hyphenated words need to be edited manually, which can severely impact productivity.
What i would like to have happen, is that hyphenated words are editable through the spellchecker as any other word is.
An example, the word "Checklist" is considered to be a spelling mistake in Screensteps on the desktop app while writing an article. When you right click the word for a spellcheck (while writing an article) it comes up with the correction "Check-list". Clicking on this correction though, yields no result. It simply closes the right click contextual menu and acts as if nothing has changed at all. Still red underlined, still the same word.
On a side note, This change does take place if the spell-check menu is used to instigate a change. So its all the more strange that the right click spellcheck menu does not seem to work as well.
Its not always the ideal to go through the spellcheck popup menu each time i need to spellcheck an article.
