In the account settings area, allow administrators to define a default timezone to be assigned automatically to new users.
- Out-of-town users can still be updated in the usual way;
- The account setup process should prompt for this when the administrator is created so that new ScreenSteps customers set it before they start creating users.
I have just created a test account for a customer of mine who was very impressed when I used my personal ScreenSteps account while working at their site.
My wrangler asked me to create accounts for the people I am working with. Our town is at the very end of the timezone list which emphasised to me the value of a default timezone for new users. I observed this immediately as I created the first account. I waved the over-shoulder-lookers away while I completed the account creation process to ensure they did not see anything they didn't like.
