This would be awesome. Screensteps desktop used to do this so it's sad to see this feature gone! A totally essential feature if you rely on SS to publish your ZD content... it's not possible for support staff to manually tag in ZD if you have a large knowledge base.

Yes, I would love this, too. We are incorporating the ZenDesk mobile SDK into our iOS and Android mobile apps. Their SDK allows filtering based on what label is assigned to an article. I want to make labels for 'Android' and 'iOS' so each app can show just lessons appropriate for it. Being able to set this in Screensteps would be very helpful.

Until this is possible, I'd love to see the Zendesk integration point out that this doesn't happen automatically. (Would save us from spending time adding tags, thinking it was doing something)

Hi, is there any movement on this? This feature would be such a game-changer for us.

@Will - no, there has not been any movement on this. If we start pushing tags to Zendesk we have to deal with what to do with existing tags in Zendesk. We would need to add an interface for merging tags between the two systems as well as deciding if you want to merge or overwrite tags when pushing from ScreenSteps to Zendesk. Developing that interface isn't on our roadmap right now.

I'd happily rip out all tags in Zendesk to able able to manage them in Screensteps.

Yup - if this were an optional feature then at least those of us willing to take the one-time hit and lose the ZD tags would be able to use it.

This absolutely should be a prioritized feature request, because without:

    • You can't really optimize the search-index on your Zendesk-instance
    • SEO and Google indexation sucks because you can't add labels.

If you want to promote ScreenSteps as one-stop-shop to create KB-articles, including Zendesk as a target, this functionality is key.

Did anybody have experience changing the Labels for KB-articles in Zendesk and pushing updates from ScreenSteps afterwards? Are the Labels preserved well? No bugs and flaws here?

    Thanks!
