    Tomas-

A glossary is definitely something we are thinking of adding to ScreenSteps Live but I couldn't give you an exact time frame of when it would be available. Thanks for the suggestion.

That's great to hear. Looks like we'll be using a custom implementation when we start designing our template.

If anybody's interested in a custom solution using your own template and server-side definitions and JQuery, here's a good starting point:

This can be easily modified to work with any server-side language and the tips can be formatted attractively using something like qTip.

It's been a while since this post.  Is the glossary still in the works?  It is such a valuable part of any training and learning platform.

It would be really nice to have this feature in ScreenSteps.

Our product is quite big and a lot of people write documentation for it. It would be helpful if we could use words from the glossary as placeholders in the articles. With the option if a certain word in the glossary has changed, to replace it in all articles where the placeholder is used.

Is anyone in this thread willing to help share in development costs for this feature?  If so, please post a comment with a way to connect with you or email Thomas dot robb at telarix dot com.  Perhaps we could create a unified vision of how it should work and behave and lower the cost factor.

Brand-new user here... converting old documentation, and a glossary function is the one thing that I find missing that I could really use...

Has anyone "faked" a glossary by creating a new Manual with an Article for each Glossary item?  It would be time consuming and tedious but may be my work-around...

I would love to have this feature in ScreenSteps.

My documentation uses terms that are quite technical and sometimes differ between different companies in the industry, so a Glossary would be extremely useful.

    What's the status of this?

    Hi Rutger,

We haven't done any work on a glossary feature yet. A glossary isn't currently in the development pipeline, just something we've considered.

Would love to have a glossary feature in ScreenSteps. Is this feature still currently not in the development pipeline?
